Dreadlocks
The forest that has my claws exploring.
As paws feel the texture
notice the change in temperature
increased pressure.
Breathing, feeling
the healing
that come with squealing.
Shrill in.
Shaping with every movement that comes forth it.
It’s strength however can’t forfeit.
Others bought it,
some fought it
be legalized at schools.
Those of us who caught it
at its natural state,
intriguing us with its intrinsic and unfathomable state.
It’s like a brain teaser
making shining bald heads itch.
How it is able to stretch
when locked
dread
when the locks are broken.
Black Friday
So they shop right?
they… bo shop right you save.
Do right to save black souls.
The Day so dark. Labelled Black Friday. The fry them.
Lynch them
After the spy on them.
Their loved one’s cry for them.
They sold you for free.
Your life depends on it.
To stand in long lines of consumers consuming consumption named by the skin colour that will fall for that trick without question.
Price tags that tags you priceless.
Priced less than worthless.
True-worths have been wooled with meaninglessness
but we still buy into it
with the penny deepest in our pockets
even our pinkies can’t promise to reach for it.
But we teach our flexy fingers instead of food for thought.
It’s matter over mind
money over matter.
You do the mathemagics better.
Which fees must fall?
Is it worth our little change
and little brains we spare for change
to revolve to revolt?
The rot lot look and laugh.
Lunching a lynchin system that you run to…
buy into your own turn.
Standing in long lines of long ropes
to place around your own wringed necks
wrong turns.
Of celebrating ancestral ceremonies
spending money as you shop right
do remember
that it was your ancestors being laced
for you to rush with such pace
just to pick and pay
the price of their death
is now in your hands
digging…

We want freedom,
I’ve yet to see you unchaining yourself from mental slavery you placed upon yourself in believing they did.
Education, has unchained great leaders behind bars to lead you
I mean great leaders,
I said great leaders.
Unchained, from the physical bars to chain you from economic bars.
You were too busy making noise
They were busy embracing the crumbling education to step on your backs to reach for degrees, doctorates, Professors.
We want equality.
Equality never existed.
I said you eat crumbs to step on the backs of the poor to steal from their mouths
Stop making noise,
Embrace the strategy,
Be quite, learn, appreciate, use, step up.
Great leaders are self made not born
Unchain, unlock your wrong mentality.
Begin to walk away from poverty and misery one step at a time.
Do all this quietly and strategically.
Hush no noise for if the gates of stupidity should make noise, down in dungeons of hell you go.
One day you will emerge from the blue,
When they least expect,
When they don’t know you,
Too late to pin you down for bigger than them you will be.
Hush, slowly, unchain, open, step out, step out.
See you at the top
Good luck,
Don’t say Amandla.
You will reveal your disguise.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
Begin right now
I’M INSPIRED
By Boosie
I’m inspired by sounds of the valley low as the waters meanders to the sea.
The breeze as I cross the river to suck on the nipples of mother education.
Am inspired.
Am inspired by,the dance as humans run for cover when it rains,
Inspired is what I am.
Am inspired by the fire as I light the gas stove to cook soul food,
I dance to the music in the pot as it boils and simmers,
Listening to my command, the fire turns itself down,
For the climax of my,soul food is to be reached soon.
Really am inspired.
Am inspired as we gaze directly into our technology gadgets,
Wise and wiser we become, collecting more words as we go along technology highway,
Am inspired to write as I read some of the wisest words from you and others,
I see the weaving of the human cloth becoming more and visible by the day.
Am really inspired
Am inspired by the voice I sing with in the middle of my dreams,
In front of millions I sing,
A standing ovation I get,
I get up sing a song from my dreams,
Birds tweet and clap for job well done.
Am inspired by the freedom from Alcatraz, after serving 54 years in the dungeons.
I literally open my brain to wipe the images of Alcatraz.
I’m inspired by the dance in small spaces in tune for big spaces of the future, am inspired.
Am inspired by the loud music of our culture.
Ngizokuthengela ibhanoyi, like really really, a song only a black person can understand and dance to,
It inspires me to bring back sense in music, for we are drowning in the stupidity of our creation.
Running to catch up with the drowning Rand they are,
Drowning with it in the process,
Still am inspired by such,
Understanding of such matters want me to rise up from my creative chair and shout,
Am inspired to bring about sense in this senseless drowning world.
Am inspired nevertheless.
Am inspired by you and me.

Let’s talk about fathers that love you because you’re subjected to them, but as soon as you lift your head higher, square your shoulders and look them in the eye, you become a threat and even a regret
Fathers that make our mothers pray more for them than for their own children
Fathers that make mothers between them -“love”- and their children
Let’s have these conversations
