Your face had a free smile and innocent eyes
It made my eyes full of tears
I think what hurts me most is that you died crying
Alone in that hospital bed
With pipes on your body
It used to be a dancer of tshisa ma tshas
Whatever that was
It’s what you’d say when you get up and dance
Before they held you down in chains on a bed in a crowded hospital
My heart sank
It drowned in tears I couldn’t cry out
I don’t want to lose my mind too
But I wish I could lose this memory
The day I saw you cry
It still brings a bitter taste to my soul
I can’t cry to mourn your death
I can’t celebrate your life
Because I am angry
Whoever is responsible for your death
I can’t wish them well
I can’t dissolve this hurt
I don’t have a solution yet
This pain wont evaporate
I don’t know if time will change this space
Wherever space you are now
I hope you are at a better place
Where there is no pain
I hope you are free from ailment
And not considered yet another mental case
I hope you are a king
To rule justice for the innocent lives lost
That’s all that can console me.
