While we were in Lesotho January 2019 for Photo XP with Inkanyiso. The workshop was based on fusing poetry with photography. When I realised that ‘Matlali’s scar spoke visually to a piece I wrote in 2015 called Ying Yang there’s a part of the piece that’s says

“our trademarks contact the moon as we eye contact”. We stood facing each other as our scars faced the sun set. Should we be laying down facing each other, the scars will face the moon/sun at its zenith.

The entire piece was written t express art inclined connections with cancereans. As a taurus, the link between cancer is gemini – which is identified by the twins or Ying Yang.
