Thela ‘manzi

A collaborative piece by Lebo Diverse and Ntsiki Jacobs

The tree of life within was drowning in tears

Wallowed in the depth of a dry season

Drenched in drought

Until a flower came along

Produced a rosy energy

In God’s speed, faith renewed

Certainly, this is synergy

A ray of sunshine

Brought a rainbow to blue skies

And rejuvenation

Food for thought

A revelation

And said

“let me pour into you

let me refill your cup

I know others left it empty

but I see you…

& I want to pour myself into you

I want to water you

till we both thrive & enjoy,

the fruits of the love we pour into each other

let me be your sunshine on cold dark days

& your moon when light seems so far

let me be your nourishing water

I want to be your safe landing

your heart is safe with me

let me pour into you

everyday till your last breath

the last captured image in your mind

the only footprint in your heart…”
